赵世钰为西湖大学人工智能系特聘研究员、副系主任、智能无人系统实验室负责人。他本硕毕业于北京航空航天大学,博士毕业于新加坡国立大学,回国前任英国谢菲尔德大学自动控制与系统工程系Lecturer。研究领域为多机器人系统中的控制、决策与感知等问题。相关成果发表在Nature Communications、IEEE TRO、IJRR等期刊。他是中国自动化学会TCCT专委会、人工智能学会智能决策专委会、指控学会集群智能与协同控制专委会的委员。他是国际期刊IEEE RAL、IJRNC、Unmanned Systems的编委,曾担任ICCA2018的英国区域主席和ICCA2019的程序委员会主席、IEEE Control Systems Society Conference Editorial Board Committee委员和多个国际会议的编委(包括IEEE ICRA, IROS, CDC, ACC, ICCA, ICARCV, ICUAS等)。他参与承担科技创新2030—重大项目、国家重点研发机器人重点专项等项目,曾获得国家海外高层次青年人才项目、连续多年入选斯坦福全球前2%科学家终身与年度榜单、曾获得领跑者5000——中国精品科技期刊顶尖论文、第33届中国控制会议关肇直奖。此外,他撰写的教材《强化学习的数学原理》分别由清华大学出版社和Springer出版社于2025年初在国内外发行,目前销量册数1万+,在GitHub收获星标1万+,课程视频全网播放超过160万。

Shiyu Zhao is currently the Director of the WINDY Lab and Associate Head of Department in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Westlake University, Hangzhou, China. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Beihang University and his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore. Prior to joining Westlake University, he was a Lecturer in the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering (ACSE) at the University of Sheffield, UK. His research focuses on control, decision-making, and perception in multi-robot systems. His work has been published in top-tier journals such as Nature Communications, IEEE Transactions on Robotics (TRO), and The International Journal of Robotics Research (IJRR). He also serves on the editorial boards of international journals IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (RA-L), International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control (IJRNC), and Unmanned Systems. Dr. Zhao has participated in major national research initiatives, including the National Key R&D Program on Robotics and the National Science and Technology Innovation 2030 Major Project. He was awarded the Overseas National Young Talent Program, repeated inclusion in the Stanford University list of World's Top 2% Scientists (both career-long and annual impact), the F5000 Top Articles of China's Journals Award, and the Guan Zhaozhi Award at the 33rd Chinese Control Conference. Furthermore, his textbook "Mathematical Foundations of Reinforcement Learning," published by Tsinghua University Press (late 2024) and Springer (early 2025), has sold over 10,000 copies. The online textbook has garnered over 10,000 stars on GitHub, and the lecture videos have surpassed 1.6 million views online.
